Jackson and his mother schemed with parents to plan the mother of surprises! On Friday, 8/1, just three days before my birthday, I went home from work only to find…

… MY PARENTS! Yes, Jackson’s paternal grandparents flew all the way from OH to visit us for my birthday (and Jackson’s 1 month birthday) — and I didn’t even know they were planning it. My parents were the first of the Adu clan to see Jackson in-person (or as they say in Ghana, “feely feely”). It was a surprise of epic proportions, and it made my birthday extra special!

As if that wasn’t enough, we had even more friends visit throughout the weekend. I knew about some, but some others came as a pleasant surprise. Be sure to check out some of the pics from that weekend. A very memorable weekend, indeed! Thanks, Jenny and Jackson, for organizing 🙂
